The series was created by an American television show creator, writer and producer, Brenda Hampton and was written by Brenda Hampton, Caroline Kepnes, Jeffrey Rodgers, Jeff Olsen, Elaine Arata, Chris Olsen and Paul Perlove.
On February 9, 2009, the show was renewed for a second season and it consist of 24 episodes.
In the first season, it tells about the unexpected pregnancy of teenagers and their relationship towards their families and friends.
Actress Shailene Woodley, portrayed the role of character Amy Juergen.
